This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.6 J! C' a, V2 K$ M- `: X5 J& _5 X, Q- Q

• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.

• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather . }. {# e" ^2 V' Q' a

JOB REQUIREMENTS:5 U! n: x) D5 Q0 B6 a( C
• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.

& A: R; \8 H& a& X& q2 f' k" eto be diplomatic and courteous in dealing with the public, from the first passenger to the last passenger

• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.( J2 @0 t$ U" c
• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.
- ` V! O( m/ ?6 j5 ]( B; t _* k• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date) 2 A( s7 f. q# R0 \; Z6 c
showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period.
; @! L8 r9 [. J& w/ z9 F: _6 {* O3 v• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill - j9 E, `/ c3 r7 {' h0 ^
video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training).

• Internal ETS applicants must have completed all mandatory in-house training.

HOURS OF WORK:
& M: [! G# E' @Various hours of shift work (straight or split shift), any time of the day, any 5 days of the week " g9 F2 D$ p" V
1st year: Guaranteed minimum 67.4 hours bi-weekly3 }! z6 l3 A/ N# j) O) S( D3 F
Thereafter: Guaranteed minimum 74 hours biweekly$ h& X7 v. D: g: p, O" E1 n3 U0 r7 _* u

SALARY RANGE: 401, Salary Grade: 004 1 h# U7 R' H* c
