Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the, q0 o$ N3 G9 s: X8 N6 n
festival.
) A4 K7 R J) m+ ?: y% l) |( {Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
0 N; C4 l0 }. r8 Vwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft I% R9 A+ o3 d+ ~) p. r1 V7 \0 s
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.! B/ }$ _0 z7 u
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the7 A6 m, m$ M% ^6 T1 o
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.% X. u; A3 d' b" f' j
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for0 L/ Y( c, p5 Y0 N
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
5 b+ v, v3 K) T+ Orecyclables.9 C! T v/ s( E {, x
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be4 Y, `# c$ k$ x6 E; p6 P
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
) u3 E |* g+ e# |0 j! JHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
9 r: Y6 m7 \, ythem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late4 s9 a" C# q8 P; \" {; u7 `
hours are part of this crew’s duties.) R+ f) D4 x0 ]; l, n. Z/ x/ m
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the, E/ @- ]4 k, K# u8 y
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
4 R. Q/ ]# w: x' O% {* mprograms to visitors to the festival.
& \" u* l0 m, Q" L% {8 YKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for: a9 Y# v& D9 t4 [$ ^8 v! Z
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
* Q- r& g. Q4 \8 A0 rOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed5 n$ A6 |) {( D; ]* N* l
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
' X* M0 L0 J7 e3 l* n2 ^$ ?& Xfestival.
3 u. Y+ N( B" q2 l9 m1 H. p! e2 ySite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
0 K: g; Z+ Y( k8 u1 ]operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you/ h* ~! L* J/ l6 j4 g
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
$ \& Z4 k5 G- B6 b- K' S$ p/ EStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
8 i1 R% X2 L; E3 L# {and/or understanding of back stage procedures., |# a; s- E) B8 ]
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
4 z# [8 W& @% [required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
; x6 m9 k# W3 p. t9 b9 Pairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
! `) d# p" g/ ~' X+ C% P3 Qstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
