Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
% H1 B! [" m, L3 o O% D5 \* O$ Twork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft B: ^/ G6 L [2 g; |
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
3 o! F- A" u. w8 t' O! n. FChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the7 Q: b: A. K; S6 l
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
! m" D3 n% o& f# r* W- N ^Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for# l$ ^# L* `, n
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the% T1 i8 c3 P7 s0 @( k
recyclables.
! g) c1 t3 O. U8 o& c! J# ^) K, m4 KFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
# I# q& Q: G: S2 z9 M3 h8 Gpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.9 T6 h* h0 O5 T- m" T
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
$ L3 N1 U: a5 V0 v& j, [% Sthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late2 u% ^) O6 Q: J+ `8 f# A5 B
hours are part of this crew’s duties.' z8 i1 ^% Y, [- D( p
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the! L% I& P# W) d) @& [+ b1 [
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
/ h0 [- H/ I/ |programs to visitors to the festival.
O2 w6 d& o7 G' {' E, ?Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
8 a. e; [6 ~$ W. ?/ z6 meveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.! W; n5 h1 [8 U: F$ l& d0 x
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed. Q& |" l6 |& L6 S
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
) i# a+ d' `2 d. D) ]festival.
# f7 g! r/ L# m9 Z& k) wSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
) d% d0 b) }1 S& k* koperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you( I% Z* B0 U% u/ B
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
& u2 a" F% Z/ L; \5 W( wStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training7 r- q( w/ k- _# v- D# _8 r' ~) ?
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
1 ?' C! C" V; W6 z* K7 JTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
" a; @. h6 P5 L9 [7 Qrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as$ {9 R+ F, b+ R" t
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
& e6 C$ T, R; Astaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
