Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
6 `! Q4 x; {3 b* ~9 J! D* o; P% @work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft y/ J. {7 X" ^2 x# U
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.+ @- i, V0 Y# s3 X' v! j" [) R
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
1 W9 i. U( r& z' v1 fartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
/ [. G+ ]2 j% }' MEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
/ J5 R# ?) I6 a9 r) kvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the" w& D- D) d, @; s- h: A* v
recyclables.
# X* o7 t9 i. SFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be |! f4 L' i4 k A4 [( c$ a7 v) l
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.7 T6 F4 \) Z" G! V# b% f
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing. f2 z/ ^8 u) n8 S* u
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
; \8 u+ H2 l' s, f t6 Vhours are part of this crew’s duties.
8 l. b" O. R1 c6 u' A% s) \Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
* b+ N8 A: e Z# I& ?" E) Ifestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
& {: D Z) s! ^& d* Pprograms to visitors to the festival.% F8 q! ^4 r& ]- F1 G# y
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for0 y; M% r8 S( i& t8 C. `& k
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.! P8 e0 b' Z0 t7 q7 T
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed+ B4 L) }9 w0 N
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
3 R6 r2 {6 C5 u0 Nfestival.
) r: y9 Z, _; \: }1 w9 h8 FSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
2 k; @) ]. H5 @operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you" H* C" c, x# ]4 n% `" ^, q' c
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.8 \1 m. l8 z: p; N8 L
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
4 H# z9 g6 M% I7 ^* L. Dand/or understanding of back stage procedures.( ?" L) U( @ V+ c, ^9 X
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
: c {6 Z- [1 m6 zrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as! [4 w4 @, I& P% k: t5 Q0 K
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
, Z/ d& M; i2 a) W' z5 jstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
