Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the- ^. A1 b2 K2 Y1 y& u* F. {7 _, j
festival.. q/ F5 j% V$ Q' a _
Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and8 C! E' J3 r2 _/ s
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
! H, L" O+ E: j' `$ ~3 Tprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
2 a. t9 o& v' m/ q" k$ eChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
6 e0 C/ _+ |3 \! M$ Q1 _artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
6 Q' ^0 [; D1 NEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
) T3 h; N* C0 C/ ]1 [6 hvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the) B9 B% N; u/ _. g0 ]# t
recyclables.1 \! K( U0 ^ a ~4 h" N2 I
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
+ Y7 H' X) J& r9 b, C; Opart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
/ s% {9 N7 k6 d& o, n. b# O$ H& {Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
3 d: c2 u) E$ Xthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late. ?, J( T# ]* `" g7 M$ n9 Z _% G) i
hours are part of this crew’s duties.+ }- z; t! e; ]: \4 A0 w
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
- O/ C2 J# N9 X, Dfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide. d! x/ D* v& C3 x( b
programs to visitors to the festival.
0 W! {7 E- {% O) g" qKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
+ g$ l3 P h/ g6 ^everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
% Q+ T( U( G' OOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
' `$ `" y- h6 i' f2 h( T) O. @5 Devents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the; X% f: m) I5 ]
festival.
! Z- d. L. [1 _4 hSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is" B- H4 t1 b, @; L# j: [# ^
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
# U; {5 d' W3 F# qare physically fit and ready for any emergency.4 U# _8 S+ R3 s# [
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
5 C% g6 e$ Q' C( w' }! C" S, yand/or understanding of back stage procedures.2 Y' s# N5 v }4 P
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
, [4 X$ N9 S9 E, erequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as5 A) }% Z, Q/ y+ t9 z
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival; h/ {% [! g3 S9 y' F; j
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
