Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
8 b1 S( W/ q, q, p3 n% u0 wwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft" U1 S3 g+ b4 H. s, C
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.8 y& J# Q. `: U$ m/ z1 a
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
y6 t# _0 r, C$ u3 X) O/ Xartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.( K& `4 K. k/ ` k6 q; T! S
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
% S' I8 `5 H( D+ w' x& ~& u; v' B0 Kvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the8 Y! B8 D6 N, m1 m
recyclables.
6 E& F1 c- e; J0 M# |5 N. z' T7 DFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be% @8 ~0 i+ d8 ]9 D. [, _
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
3 c# {% u/ G- fHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing- t6 F2 g" H! Q+ ^ I$ q
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late/ B% T( i' X9 c0 E, {+ F! Z/ }
hours are part of this crew’s duties.& D6 H8 U, c, k# A! w. L6 q
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
- i3 l# w- t8 b6 {festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide# Y! w& R, Q# Q6 U2 S4 U! M
programs to visitors to the festival.# }* E8 N, U5 C+ p; b* ` f$ a
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
' T, |2 M6 M+ r! geveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.2 k9 ^& y2 `' G. e1 r
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed( \) L# t6 k* @6 p2 A5 j( B
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
% ?) N1 Z3 g) b3 Vfestival.8 ] y5 }# E8 w5 ?6 o+ d
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
% O' M ~ D% E6 J1 }operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you' @: @6 D$ J. X! x
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
0 a6 j" d3 ~% o) S0 B6 eStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training/ ]2 e. b, N8 X- f, L0 M1 H/ ]- a
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
& a! H+ J; k* gTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
9 q0 \. Z$ E @( M8 u% w, I Yrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as. k, `4 z Z% x$ J* h. P; ]
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival! O) \/ \3 J+ J2 p( F
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
