Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the0 z4 J) v6 S4 g3 a
festival.
( \( W9 z: ^. Y0 N; ?7 [Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
" E2 Z# ?7 h. P* p# t9 H" f6 S, `work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
4 t+ P+ l+ ?' h- Y/ T Mprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.1 T+ m0 d- }$ x0 L w
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the9 W2 Z: R, }2 `% ~, q
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
' S; Z: g: }$ ~$ }2 N0 [# }' gEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for+ D, `( K. \9 {6 w4 C" h% L
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the: B" F) @4 }( Y$ j
recyclables.1 f0 E- K/ y1 Q$ x8 j
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
, E* ]9 l3 _" s' V h: ipart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
6 P0 S# l4 t) @$ B; X7 kHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
2 M _; [5 A$ m( e5 Ythem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
, D7 q0 G3 i8 I8 a& ohours are part of this crew’s duties.
. L. @! ^2 ~7 _" u9 s. z. T/ p* cInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the9 W/ f! J3 u- o+ d
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
. C& q8 i6 g9 H7 @7 B' jprograms to visitors to the festival.4 ~* k5 r" N8 c: t
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
) K. I: Z3 I8 Keveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
% u# s, e6 U1 N3 O( O" QOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed, X3 M! q8 w8 P* e* b/ ]
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
0 P, H0 u2 Y5 c" Kfestival.4 Z1 F- n9 T* t; Z
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
9 y+ L' T2 s$ i: p. z- y4 q( c1 zoperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you, T4 d7 B+ X+ t% g C
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.) S) f0 V* ?* s' Y5 }' V- n$ {* Z- X
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training `5 k* b2 D* u3 H9 U
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.) j& ]7 }: s- ?+ i7 C8 J: V
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
, W; i( b A: m8 N. {( R; ~5 M" crequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
" k+ G3 G9 z% u- T: s) Y( a2 ?airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival: {- Q1 \; g8 q) h0 H, g
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
