Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the, T5 T' A6 O& W8 G$ h. j
festival.
$ }( V4 t, y2 ~! b2 x6 `8 N, TBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
( x( L5 V' F4 a( S9 Uwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft3 @& c+ W, P- G) W0 E6 e* \
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
" x4 B1 O! V! x2 }5 bChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the/ z' t! m5 B" k8 ~
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
3 [9 ~1 M& Y# J1 H. f1 FEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
5 L1 K9 O4 T2 P) Z2 K* {visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the! H- ~$ d7 ^: T
recyclables.6 C1 Z4 e ~1 I9 ]
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be M/ c- ^& x9 [/ m- j
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
9 n& s3 ~/ N( vHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
2 R5 ]* M2 w# K. E( Q5 `# Ethem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
, V1 T K# L7 G# r) E$ s& d) Dhours are part of this crew’s duties.
' B* L. {+ F6 T1 ?' RInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
( `# h8 ~4 X( x( f5 Y; ]festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
; l! Y1 y/ _- e* t$ wprograms to visitors to the festival.1 q) p! `+ P0 s1 U) P0 Z
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
/ n! X) r% \6 c1 E% m$ ceveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
1 {! H& K* j! d8 w7 Z( b9 x5 L' yOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
' L6 O9 G2 v! `/ C6 A* Levents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
. F5 V5 u- R5 Z6 c. F' |9 efestival.
! o% c. y5 l4 `Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is: _* m( |% w0 ^" b
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you% V6 l/ {6 ~+ }' h5 n- d7 \- }
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.% W! H. T. _# r! M! a: C
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training5 N+ Z) l' p! V" N
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
# M: Q; _7 g& w2 K& s. ?+ nTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be9 s* F2 G& F: @" \1 q/ L; i3 X/ @% @
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
* t" \* R( a% s+ ]airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
# @' D$ Y; {' i: V7 x( vstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
