2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'

Standing Orders by April 15 and serve from May 1 to April 30 of the

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- U# ~" v& x Q$ u

7 S- ]' v9 s4 B+ j2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.

3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing a9 V* Z0 `2 Z
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

minimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,

11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during 2 Y m0 z, v6 A; c& A* d

for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students' " M" r/ f; p% {. N

6 L, h+ A s( p' p2) Must have some experience in student elections.$ y- t2 l* X) `& L3 o7 A: a
! r; m2 @7 [' N) r3 D, l/ B3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or : X' a O& m7 P0 C* P+ j, L
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position ( x& z" X4 F1 n9 F4 k1 y' M
with the Students' Union.
