DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
policies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

0 L% U9 H' T8 V6 FDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
) k/ D4 c; m0 G) g) Z1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
and are University affiliated.

; s+ I1 B9 q) c' b8 ^/ ?$ V1 T9 ~2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.
, T+ j" N+ s' d9 a, K* Y
+ \3 e! }. k3 ^3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
of garbage.

4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
  w& n/ n* O) I+ L, g: n% cconsumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
area when required.

$ m) i, p# q5 M: {  {# s9 w6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
9 l9 }2 R. C% q# ^5 }' v; BManager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
# B7 }, S/ _, Q) @6 F1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
of patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
; N5 t% k* z3 J4 g0 V9 e3 ecalmly under extremely stressful conditions.
+ a" T& v3 x0 B, D9 P
3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

4) Must be physically capable.
% |% I' ]. ~; ~+ t* U2 c) I
0 j( Z+ y; }. q8 d5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
public.

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
