and leadership of Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! (AYV!). The ED is a
9 S U1 F1 O. F# V1 Qnon-voting member and champions youth volunteerism in Alberta. The ED& k4 R: O7 o4 m {3 G+ a: K' c
works within the structures set by the organization's bylaws and0 ?% h0 P0 c8 X. X2 M2 N
policies to ensure ethical and professional management of organization's
% F- s9 }+ U8 t, ]2 c: x- f4 Oaffairs at all times.

Primary Responsibilities: Helps Board of Directors in developing a! d4 d. E- @% ]8 l' Y6 r, O) ~
vision & strategic plan; Establish strong relationships & collaborative
' J1 i! P5 M* {; v4 G9 ^arrangements with community groups, sponsors, governments, schools,$ z8 W2 ]4 N6 t& u* w* [
media/other stakeholders to achieve the goals of AYV!; Prepare reports/ A8 W) L y9 U# m$ h6 r2 @
for the Board; Assist the Board in drafting policies/prepare procedures; @5 |; a- a+ K$ c+ _
to implement the organizational policies.: ?+ o( b8 o& c+ q
) ?% S: U- k- W' r5 l. N$ ^
PLUS: Ensure good record keeping; Ensure funders' grants are stewarded: Z4 _. J) m K( a# U: m
as per their requirements; Plan, implement and evaluate programs and

the funds of the organization & monitor the monthly cash flow; Ensure

5 c1 k+ F; x% v& [Key Qualifications: Experience working with a number of different groups! B& w4 P2 }6 {, q+ L* k2 F# b
including a Board of Directors, non-profit organizations, government$ f; } e9 ~) \' ?8 o! Q" Q0 {* L
partners sponsors, employees, volunteers, and youth; Understanding of
, }2 y1 E* v$ F8 W4 |0 b& Oorganizational financial management and CRA requirements; Ability to1 i* w) M9 N+ a5 s* H! s+ i& D# e
work in a self-directed work environment; Experience planning and) E5 A! O* C) A+ `' _8 H/ w3 z/ m# {
managing projects and budgets.
