BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving( Z. Z# k* b( k3 q0 S9 c

& S0 N1 S8 D* Q% O22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday    z: O1 N% ^# T2 o
through Friday: V: X9 d+ B* f- y2 A

: ]; v/ r  `' j6 O3 b5 D0 v& uJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  . c' G' x( O/ M9 }' V! d6 q' Q9 Z
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  # `! t$ S2 J' q4 M
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  & f! ?- o/ I( S' `+ E2 B
cleanliness and order in the bar.; ?4 Z' H" o( x: i- X9 R
# M: U* R1 t: f4 N* d
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:# }7 D( e* k5 R5 J2 J
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
+ I. [) ?2 H  vbeverage items.' ]. Z& A, {/ l- [4 H

" x# ~1 P' Q6 o) p% Q2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  5 p6 a- H- X! j4 Q6 E- {% u
bar and debit floats.8 x8 u2 D9 c1 C) E
* T% D4 {% N( o) ~! ^" c+ r. o9 N- x/ f
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
/ y+ ~; H% x% a0 v6 z4 feach shift, and upon closing.! L! K( x# M" `$ |

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  ( a: O/ c" W9 t2 }
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
0 E% B' o6 ^0 ^seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
, M* `# H3 `" ]% Q  L
, i" \. D; `- ~5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
" ^. |# k$ Z0 g1 I5 F1 ?storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
' {& T- V' R( f3 iproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.
5 T0 m$ s; z* L& @8 L& R2 `
) u- ^+ @2 L# k& E6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  ) q* A, n9 a" ~' A" C
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
: B2 ]0 [3 _% s! w! t* ehigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  $ o  U( H$ x3 l5 @4 N
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7 q) Q  m) j7 x1 j9 Q7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
3 p# A/ R7 G9 w& S9 z7 E" thigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.& F5 T! i! ]8 _+ W% J; M

Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
6 M, f5 \" B! r; l, V: A) [1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
) u5 X" m. Z$ r! q, _9 h  D
  ?* Z( |2 s0 t) A' R" ?  Y3 J2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  . j6 m$ W  @# H, l1 O5 v" m# b: K
operation.
5 j) @' w" g; P; _7 J) ?9 ]# o1 K8 N" C# L
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  6 \# p% e! y0 B$ T' w2 K; d: k* V
accordance with Students' Union policy.' _5 |! C9 m2 k0 d$ W# E5 h) |
4 M$ W0 f  |6 z% Y) ~/ c, }( K9 I# y
4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.( @1 \8 _# C, \6 n' ~$ |- h. |

& k! S; b- `, T5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´
