JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the 8 x( Z4 i: I" m- J0 G: @
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the
8 e( |4 v/ }# X8 g+ ]procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,
& H4 I e, d+ @6 ccleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:6 `4 Z, f2 }' X$ V" {. n
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and

$ S% s$ |8 w Y% m1 W
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the % u! y9 }; q. ~( G; R$ s
bar and debit floats.0 p& o, M+ @+ l# r1 _
) b# a% P E- W& q% M
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of
3 J1 U" Z( A- V7 M7 [0 F) aeach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular ; V* X$ S; |$ t) I2 G) I2 l1 J. U
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and
6 H$ [1 o9 ^6 X+ \) Hseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

W7 ?! I: o5 E4 D( ~5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in
# |4 X/ t p% l: t' ?& sstorage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol
& Z7 D' I2 Y5 l$ S4 Rproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close 8 a. N2 M- E9 b) Z( s1 ~& r! P
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a

accordance with Students' Union policies.7 v& ~* q6 [$ u/ J, M
) H# K, r) G4 e' B. R7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a , w7 Z: y( C: q8 r# i
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.7 ?0 k* N n: {/ [2 T1 X, x

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,

QUALIFICATIONS:- j& F& @: T" ~
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
. r1 q; K- B+ A8 }7 {9 x" @( h9 w5 A2 X
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume + Y' L- \# o# w& Y
operation.
% Q4 b0 T5 r( c$ }/ f f% Z" x( w7 b9 @5 l4 ]1 y* A
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in
$ S8 M- f- N1 F7 |accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.( O+ G# v/ x5 M$ c- d! O T

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´ ( a2 u) H/ M- L8 F' T
