9 z. P& f3 ^  J# }JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

2 O$ E' o$ @( C% ^8 b  ADUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
5 |4 y# A3 U! m1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
* [; s% M: _8 ]9 Forders.

/ [% e' g- C7 @3 n2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

; r( x( A+ G+ P# r$ G3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
, Y- y. U5 R2 A7 ], e/ Y& Bincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
; Q* u6 V3 H0 J+ W$ c# d) ^and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

* n0 a  Y' m$ K$ \" m5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
6 w7 x: P  q& k% Y# iaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
2 b6 _6 E, V- U5 I& O) H! C# Dintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
! V$ O9 \4 n  v/ V6 _2 WAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
8 T( g! T# R/ d4 j+ v( }Manager.

7 m% Z# M) s6 r0 tQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
$ w9 [3 _+ m: g8 k
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
3 x9 b8 F: f0 j' [7 Tpolicy.

4 `- z7 s0 j1 u8 j  ^4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
; Y: n8 e2 ?/ `- e- e+ Icard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

5 W; D9 B. u! M1 hWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
