SERVER (RATT)

11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
- S2 G' j/ Z( t, n" [+ j* YBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
5 E  r) z5 P  o) hcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.
* O" Q' c" Q4 n# O  U6 D/ B

2 w3 l( F( r/ ]  kDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
2 f5 c) \2 Q  d1 Worders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
7 o! X5 @+ E# T6 ?: aaccordance with Students' Union policies.

3 A+ s1 X# Y, [$ {) P. p9 |7 \3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
( k# \0 O7 ]' S6 _total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
; O: K* }. e0 b2 `- Q! m
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
' r' ~5 {5 E5 _0 x  Y; i; c' |including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
# v- e' H; @* f" V% uand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

4 M" t1 i' g4 j  R- E. r5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
( d9 q; e5 |2 k) laction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
( D4 k' P2 \- H" K- T" I- z& d" fintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

! U+ y8 f/ X) \2 L) t0 j3 ]7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
+ n# x7 g) h& O% k0 h- |operation.

3 k# t% V& x% Y* `8 H! x3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
4 v1 |2 T' b/ T9 J+ b5 u
0 b, v0 d; F- x  S2 B0 S" [4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
& X+ L% _  d) L, j/ X
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
, M0 i* [! j) R8 l" Jprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
