11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
4 q2 G! o" W* f6 `! |customer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
$ }  T6 K/ G8 ^2 S1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

& F, H. Z+ f0 B0 _6 r* [8 `8 p2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
1 q% w8 R: O" B0 s$ ?8 Vhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
3 i% _& X. r* v- `9 {1 q1 d* V- K" Dand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

  m1 d( u* |/ g: l- j+ V5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
. l+ b4 m3 ]  ^, S0 B! Naction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
1 u' u/ V# B/ K9 m, i/ K6 Hintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
9 {* G1 Z; Y  z7 Q6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
4 V3 o, d# y# FManager.

& h) s6 c7 i9 i3 g( kQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
) q: a. T: m) r$ F! T" ~
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
  H9 \# K5 |4 g9 o: E! \1 Qpolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
2 }4 s) H3 |! B* v: ]card transactions.
) ]! J& |- z0 E- [
( k, h. L( B$ y3 W) ]* e0 }5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
