Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
! U" L8 Q+ a8 ^' Hpay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
3 t# V0 j4 H' E: G. Q4 I" xschool year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
3 q9 S2 R# ~! c1 _# @/ u/ S# p4 BCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
* r: g5 \' b; M8 Mvenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
0 {8 I! b' h0 B2 H1 O7 e. {etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
6 g! h. G7 o# P! s9 Y1 v  qtheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
* H$ Z0 \3 R6 g$ g$ b& K& Cassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
$ V0 p& }: H6 A3 o0 y( Tfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
& B9 N6 K; x8 v# [/ wsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
5 |" b- w6 m/ ppresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
+ @9 ^0 l# f3 Y; c$ T4 }6 `Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
2 o' u0 `& ^8 u; ?demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
5 D7 P, Y  a( d, R, Q- @a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
' Q$ w- ^4 o) b) H( F0 N8 pskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
