pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
1 Z  o6 O4 d* qthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
& B1 `! R  L$ K; X) Sschool year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
2 ]# r4 ~0 M1 F; }; [' a9 X% Letc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
2 W* H& p( {  I, W3 Hparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
" [, C3 A; }* y( ~4 |, g7 ztheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
) A& x' {& \$ y/ i7 n9 k0 y  Yvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
! B2 j7 g' ^# Y; _' Voutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
2 b' T! r$ L" B5 Jexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
% h0 P4 H2 j. }  \) a5 M. T0 Ypresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
9 u! a$ I* [( x: m. rCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
" g4 x2 Q$ [% t  n  K6 N6 tof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
