The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting./ u% h% X) `8 {( t( ^

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials' v; l1 x* z6 ?
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
$ S# N4 Q( d ILoads and unloads non-ferrous material" b$ O& v! J$ e v( T. n
Must be able to work safely at all times
: N" c- W# M, z% S# ZBe able to effectively perform tasks independently( o# T1 Y6 E2 k2 H1 `6 P6 x8 G
Performs routine housekeeping.
* j2 s" ~, n- ?0 t/ `6 OObserves and reports any safety issues
% ^6 o0 N0 I" U+ w. E9 DOther duties may be assigned

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting: T) W% U# a6 |6 S; T( n% O& e
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
P( ?8 x+ T, ^1 i7 E* M5 H) n0 jHigh school diploma (Or GED)
) ^7 _8 R4 g, V+ XWell-articulated and assertive
- [+ N7 q7 r. L) jAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization* N" V6 f( U4 i5 ^ A* L
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
