Job Summary:
/ K3 f3 K8 ]5 l& A" G B. w5 LThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.7 t1 ?+ m _1 c# o6 f+ |/ R) P" g

Monday – Friday 11 am-7 pm

Job Responsibilities:

Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials% d% C2 K4 V. O9 c: C/ ^
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material2 b$ M6 e9 S$ m8 [
Must be able to work safely at all times
* i* a6 D! W4 L1 kBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
- l, \7 C3 F# T; |" UPerforms routine housekeeping.
/ h; I4 ?1 d c' j$ f% q" z( nObserves and reports any safety issues0 F- }4 u! {3 U* d' ` C

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset
& Y. G: Y7 K+ s6 O/ GExperience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
( v. X7 e% W% x6 r: d/ Q. h0 j$ L* CKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
6 L& N& ?: u4 Q- m7 v5 i# g" n* BHigh school diploma (Or GED)

Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
