) {* x! T7 j- P2 s2 yThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

/ a! b. V' f* @4 y: ?: wMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
, j% a9 y! _3 A$ iInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials0 G' M: j+ {, A3 U* e
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material; G, p' x5 H! v# f3 ~* c" h& X* E% W
Must be able to work safely at all times( a( X: ?9 k+ ?$ s' U6 I& M: Q
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently0 n G$ A9 u5 D$ O) B
Performs routine housekeeping.
# C: B/ Q9 k# t: c+ N L& [/ PObserves and reports any safety issues

Job Qualifications:

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly( v& }) |' k' ^$ Z X
Metal recycling industry experience is an asset8 R5 X- s1 K- {8 H2 Q
Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting8 T6 a% M( e/ |( r4 N- b& `
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
" S* r2 L- C7 k4 ~1 p* x f! M- EHigh school diploma (Or GED)
! G& \# n; z+ iWell-articulated and assertive, o0 g) D1 ~0 i
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
