Job description

1 K& J) U# q1 ], l* d: |weekend hours.
, j: J h. v! e0 |5 z2 ~You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
. X% Q& F* X! t% g3 @0 Z6 ]0 Rlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the4 Q: _6 |0 L3 m$ @6 \
centre.0 }+ _# [, B5 R+ d: b2 K
These responsibilities include:3 U$ p3 `* M6 m8 G" B
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.5 p1 p2 b* a5 U
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
- f$ F5 Y+ q0 _* x5 ^8 k! J6 { G-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and8 {7 d. Q9 B% u' t7 Q9 Z, i- S
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to & j6 v6 M+ u/ [7 ^
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
! k8 T6 _0 q$ y-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 3 z! q' L# T) x' @
clients’ files etc.

# Z' \# L5 L: x1 ZEducation:
4 g+ O" Y7 F H( }1 y3 S-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 8 p- h& J& H2 C2 j( m# g' l
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
2 q9 C8 L* Z3 X& D, g+ T6 X) vof education, training and /or experience. & x5 n! H- t* ?2 Z1 C
Knowledge/Technical competencies:5 v$ r( k% }4 M$ g
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.; S% U1 i* ?4 [3 O
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word$ U) F- D/ M" P! ]+ u3 }
and Excel.
: b" o& K5 @/ d8 E8 O/ }, b p# D-Experience using and updating an information database. ! n3 e ^ T S8 a& s/ k8 ^& ^
