Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week) 5 y' _7 X& W# u' }7 u

Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and& y$ E8 X% w0 V7 r5 F7 _
weekend hours.7 D9 \+ T/ o$ \% G. Y/ h0 g6 \, y
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer9 @8 R) b% |1 g8 \) i
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the- X3 t, `0 w. e* N# _6 D( y
centre.
b4 H- g8 g, _4 L! u/ _These responsibilities include:* F& K) p& e# L% _, |2 c, J8 l
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
. I! m' {9 A- G3 l$ g; T& q }-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.( u9 q8 P) y8 ~1 A0 O5 E. F
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
$ }% W% O! m9 @8 Grenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
; w2 W; {8 m7 gfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
/ t. c. b. V7 d5 X3 S8 z* Q-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ! j7 q1 D7 t; b- Y: s$ ~6 L
clients’ files etc.

4 g& c# k. N3 g# @3 r) `# k9 ZEducation: * L ^, a: a/ ^' a, r/ p- o
-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
' [0 p" b, n: V+ S/ _- J& P# seducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
! P H5 c2 e* w0 Qof education, training and /or experience. 2 a" {5 C% V& f- D0 V" c
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
( Z0 ^/ s) U& e- |! t-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
1 R f. R! G" @& k$ \-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
7 [8 I) m9 M! O9 Vand Excel.
6 p+ z9 u+ r( m- i. A-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:
