Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
& Y* v3 u7 J' |3 i* ]! r; eweekend hours.
3 A) m! G. L' U$ N6 J3 cYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer5 ^3 ~9 e0 ^, P
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
+ O9 Q( \: K! m. U* C+ n" C/ }! Lcentre.
( G- n9 E; m0 B8 [9 K5 m4 M! zThese responsibilities include:
4 p: ^( ^( H! U-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
! z n1 ^8 }7 X: k& R- e3 @7 X r-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
, K& E: T( c- x$ V, P-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
2 n0 }- M' R# Drenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
( L4 E+ S$ o( i0 ^facilities’ maintenance, etc.
3 M$ l; r+ k/ ~-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic + [ e* q7 q1 S' W$ L% R. p0 Z
clients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 8 L* D7 Q$ ]) E3 [
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
c7 a; D; Q7 x6 `of education, training and /or experience. 6 z8 U2 e. L; C- Z: t$ C2 p% t
Knowledge/Technical competencies:, J& {$ w4 C" H4 q$ `: y$ K
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
$ G/ D1 c& @ s, j% O1 O-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word0 q' b0 G# W" Y/ D& o
and Excel.
1 S. R" h7 l! F/ F# ]& x-Experience using and updating an information database.
