You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer4 J" _( T- c+ G+ h4 v) i
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the7 s# R5 @6 U- F9 f2 f! |
centre.
4 f9 z/ \, H$ x; x$ I$ C/ d1 n! u5 I9 m2 tThese responsibilities include:
7 B* k2 k' `" l- J; A-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC. N* m* z8 f5 {: k: B. I, B
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.7 o7 @) N1 ^6 P5 _# j( t
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and5 B- C* `0 y+ c) g0 ?
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to % j1 J: E5 L0 `9 x, v
facilities’ maintenance, etc. ! f3 B# F, D/ s# S4 V5 s+ e$ X
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
& G& X; l4 _6 `5 Q# Sclients’ files etc. / |7 O/ f) j9 J* p' X

Education:
( w$ S; L0 r! j3 ]! v7 y# {-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
* J9 [; |8 A* V! \/ Meducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
) h8 S4 t' Q: d) s) D% o( Iof education, training and /or experience.
" }! n& q6 V4 x7 v, E `Knowledge/Technical competencies:$ Z! {$ S3 @7 A
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
2 _: w/ ~. C- B, e3 y-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
% K4 `' N* f% o9 Rand Excel.
! U, f# |0 m3 g" E' Q8 l" n# b-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:
