Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
+ X0 i4 ], |  I, S; z
3 B: E" |" o7 s! M· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
7 p* U9 T& k$ dQualifications and Training Requirements

+ Z" y2 R$ D/ h* H· Minimum 3 years experience
& O: u9 q+ g4 @$ m( h+ u
· Valid Class 1 license
" v# d  k  w  w, Z& l% |; W
! [& m2 S3 x+ V) E1 b2 R· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
0 [& I7 z3 G" c5 [$ ^7 ~- L. b8 f
· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills
! E" I# M% a( P9 @0 o* r/ K
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

6 V$ J: B# l: v! i  J· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
