Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
( n2 D" K9 S) o: E5 X: D! K
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

( D; W6 \  Q& S8 a: M' @· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
8 [; X+ G. M5 O$ P& n# _
· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
  f) r% B3 d8 l' q% y$ \: W1 ?, `
5 F, C; e0 M# j$ ~. j7 a· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
0 v, P3 w, ]6 K) e) E6 G
· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

, z, F: o, ~, y* {3 J) ^/ y· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

, _1 p5 Y! k4 B% [# c  D· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

! e  V% |7 U4 N' W4 ~· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
