CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties
; c9 u/ {9 K3 e# g( m: X+ _6 q
· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
' ~! u7 C# S( `% Y
5 K/ g. T- g/ a+ F0 s· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

: A% g3 i* d  @7 }3 R3 r/ N( n· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
7 q. f% C( G* [# U. ?; l: @4 T" V' ~
. \+ ?# L. P8 B4 f+ e· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

: S! x- j. @  {: }9 F/ S% @· Secure loads safely

# \: d0 Z- x% A0 c· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
  g  g$ T5 E0 G0 V' w6 t
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
) x8 o2 p- ]6 D: E0 d
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
