Essential Responsibilities:
! j. N I0 H5 I+ W$ Z - [; D( y$ [4 @( \; s) v# e) L
PLC, HMI and SCADA programming of control systems in a variety of platforms for water and wastewater treatment systems.& r- N9 r' P+ k- R
Configuration and testing of PLC data and IO networks.
# @# T1 s7 f( u( @Read and process engineering documents, including P&IDs, process design guidelines, Electrical Schematics, Communications Network Architecture and engineering best practices guides.
- l0 J5 ?0 b. ` j) @. NCollaborate in cross-functional project team discussions and meetings, and proactively seek relevant details for programming deliverables.4 Z. N& y* c, B& R+ l
Interpret and follow contract and customer specifications
4 y- B( o4 R$ h$ LContribute to the design of process controls strategies and documentation with operator and equipment safety in mind.
9 g! w( G$ B2 X+ @" S" G( E/ I3 JManage budget, scope and schedule and report risks and opportunities to project managers in timely manner." K% R# @ N3 B
Lead/coordinate/guide other automation programming resources for projects as needed4 `6 a3 N8 Y6 s) U% |: `8 j* y
Communicate in a formal, professional, and technical manner to various audiences
- }% X# K( t$ u. W$ E* O' `5 uProvide timely support for field service teams during commissioning, trouble-shooting, and issue resolution
& [# }. _% D' B/ Y' YWork with 3rd-party system integrators to coordinate plant design and operation as needed! f# m. i0 r8 Q3 l, ^- W
Establish, maintain, implement and follow standard practices for programming.
2 f7 k6 F& f7 Z0 V/ }Execute projects for a wide variety of Water Treatment Technologies (including Ion Exchange, Immersed and Pressurized Ultra Filtration, Membrane Bioreactors, Reverse Osmosis, Electro Deionization, Electrodialysis Reversal, Thermal, Conventional). j( @5 ~6 I$ s. k
Participate in customer witnessed FAT, SAT and other related Control System checkouts as needed
8 e2 X5 I* k1 R& F8 S/ SWork with internal stakeholders to provide input up front in the project cycle including bids, design reviews and factory testing
# A! J! B* ]/ k/ k1 c' tLead internal initiatives aimed at improving the automation team and greater business and independently drive to closure+ y/ _: |2 E' G% v4 B) q3 I+ t
Occasional domestic travel (~15%) for client meetings or customer site visits.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Equivalent from an accredited University or College
! n& x/ z# h! Z$ a$ YTwo to five years' experience developing Rockwell based PLC, HMI and SCADA programs for process control applications.: [9 L2 \; ` X2 k. H
Automation testing experience (simulation and/or field environment)$ y5 C0 d2 X) G+ Z# H
Experience interpreting process control documents.

Proven ability to follow set of procedures and standards, and extrapolate new concepts from established standards

Strong knowledge of water/wastewater process: Understand biological processes, disinfection, BOD, coagulation, etc.9 |: x) O" y2 F7 O0 d
Mechanical experience particularly with water treatment equipment (pumps, valves, instrumentation, relief valves, regulators, pneumatic systems, etc.)2 X" o8 f' N6 i2 S8 B7 R7 k9 d7 G5 }
Electrical experience particularly with electrical panels and water treatment equipment2 G8 P( Y5 z8 O
Ability to operate under pressure on tight timelines while producing detailed and accurate documents
