As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
# e! [9 y! D1 y% _( a* ?1 x$ u( P$ F6 l5 s! Y
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. 2 f1 B! h5 ?: o7 }- F: ^
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
$ o' f* ^) M( }, c3 k- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 5 o- F/ p4 T8 t j3 c
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
/ r" E: [" N0 P( t; L$ g( @- q- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
; Y" K G* e0 z) C( f7 K9 U7 T: }- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
) M( I) W6 X! x5 D c- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Strong leadership skills
! M/ w: U4 h/ U, G- F- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
: b$ R8 ^) `9 a# @4 m- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills * G8 K w: D# h. J+ i
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations % s* |# I1 [3 v# [5 H
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.3 L( j2 c. i2 l% \3 l, z6 K
