As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. 1 ~4 c/ y" d h3 C' K+ V7 i
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
$ [/ i4 G: N5 l0 ~- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. % Q; P& ^% o9 d9 t
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
! f8 O7 `, J* i) R% W* Z, M( z) O/ j- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. / ]' {% m6 ]$ _9 U' h5 w9 ?2 @
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
* i& E* E+ a$ C- Managing shift expense budgets. ! o" F, Z8 n+ E/ |- I+ G6 }, w
! P0 ?/ }' o9 u' ?Experience and Education Requirements3 _7 X* c1 S# D* V/ L2 j0 o% f
2 F5 q* j" D+ W# u- Previous supervisory experience , [8 L+ k( k+ t W! Z3 P
- Strong leadership skills
- R6 u- T2 C% l( n- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
" c1 W) M2 N D- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills % g1 L. ]9 f$ b
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations * w! B4 t' L" P1 p
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
