As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
9 A. k+ w/ V' q+ h J. L* A& |2 C& x
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
9 z7 a' W, {! o. e6 g- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. % a2 L" G+ }$ j# S1 |# s
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
l6 f( v& B) T6 [' l4 M7 b9 a- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
5 ^; d$ ^8 O3 S3 i7 Q8 E" K- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
2 q8 @! t& E+ c; a' M C9 o7 C$ k- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 0 c! E# }( m* r2 H
- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements: G. n! E0 i0 o- t

- Previous supervisory experience
+ E# @5 l, K* q- Strong leadership skills + v/ M5 R5 x! g5 }0 K5 M/ G
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
3 x- v8 D6 w( `) O- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
, Y! B2 l4 W& o& D$ d) \" W- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations ' {8 ^; Z% d0 Z; M6 n# B
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.6 `, I; s- _! n6 e
