Job Description : Description of Accountability

As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

0 n, W2 t) [7 Y/ X* {- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
0 ]; @& l& S# P% M5 X+ f2 {( ^4 ~- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. ' I* Y3 _! _2 L( u
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 0 q+ g& o6 y) p, i- @& {. v6 m5 d
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
, @$ b4 U2 e& y0 |+ s% Z8 Z- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
& f! B. `9 ?7 S) k. | Y# _1 U- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).

Experience and Education Requirements
9 D) I; f6 h+ {" X6 D$ b0 P5 S2 s' [! h4 I, t |
- Previous supervisory experience 5 I* k# x) g3 \: Q' G
- Strong leadership skills
6 e9 \! G$ [0 r4 A& w* ?7 F- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
- K7 z H. \8 |1 a# [: u- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
' h) b, S+ M5 Y# b- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
% d7 `- l w9 a6 x- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques. i6 U1 ^$ x+ j: m# t, \! U
