Job Description : Description of Accountability

As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

( p% r2 C) T( B- W' z- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
; l O O& J- ~- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
' b+ y8 X0 {- a- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 0 s) D- c3 D, |4 ^# M
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. . r5 L( F2 f9 {" P3 }
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 6 ^0 {1 ^* ^& A" Q4 M& e& m1 F1 R
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). $ p( W( \& y2 [9 F* a7 ~( B
- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements
( w* ~& N8 b' Q8 y1 w6 d5 B: m6 {" h% w$ A! I; Q/ c& y" I
- Previous supervisory experience
: s, C1 i* e$ r7 i( z* {- Strong leadership skills + O) ^; B1 t, E9 K
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
! U% \- f6 C0 w- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
4 |3 `1 L& O1 s- g. \- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations ) V5 f7 W$ h; \/ k. J P, {
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.) q4 o3 K1 G4 }
