The Alberta government has an online source of data known as the Alberta Land Titles Spatial Information System (also known as SPIN2), from which a limited amount of information is available for free.; X5 y2 H6 h, C" P. X2 i+ V: o

1. Visit https://alta.registries.gov.ab.c ... temunavailable.aspx, click on the 'Guest Login' button, and agree to the terms of use:. Z+ L/ K4 }( ^3 w' k9 U% H

2. Click on the 'Search' button at the top of the next page:

3. Click on 'Search by Street Address':3 @: e4 I, |; a: ]

4. Enter the address in the fields at the top right and hit the 'Find' button:

5. This will bring up the rough area on the map. From here you may have to navigate around using the north, east, south and west buttons. There is also a zoom button at the top left:: {) Z" m* k3 I, Q! }0 q' D3 y1 @! ]

6. Once you've identified the property you want, click on this little icon in the bottom left of the screen, under the 'Tools' functions:

6 A- ]6 Q! \/ x+ |5 y V7. Then click on the property you want and it will open up a new window. In that window, click on the little binoculars icon under 'View':

8. That will bring up basic information about the property, which usually includes the 'value' and 'consideration' of the most recent transfer of ownership:1 \, S! T; u+ s
