Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
0 B& X( K6 u1 e  e+ D: n- Supervise kitchen staff
* }+ O7 e/ P9 \" b3 J. p- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
/ ]& A9 f& @# w. ?* o- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
- Manage kitchen operations
! c0 h* l/ M( d# b- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
9 a2 {* \) h5 M- Work night shifts, as necessary
Requirements:
1 g5 D1 D$ z& i+ p& n- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
1 V. |* {& m6 X& j+ ~8 y- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
- Good proficiency in English.
- Highly organized.
* D8 B* J) P0 g3 M5 lThis is a contract, full-time position.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
6 X1 Y* X5 g5 \% z6 vWorking schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
