6 K2 z1 a) f- u) F% m9 Z We live in Magrath Heights and we are currently struggling with our 5-year-old daughter's to Kindergarten registration. I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program.3 i2 T" M% i) f" V$ G$ S5 D

8 m- O) `3 t+ _7 ?" Y9 C1 o. t8 Q We need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:

Option 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet.
$ g1 c, z6 n. S# e* [, S4 I( K8 j No on site child care available. : ?2 x: E: j9 M+ }* X
) ]+ S9 e$ _7 w3 K IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.) V( K, B8 d c8 y- |1 Q/ _

Option 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list.( \- g9 ?& ]6 T
Honestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements. ' i5 R( b2 E" a: R G! R" r
