据可靠消息，爱城一个运输公司由于违法交通安全法规将会面临300万加币罚款。

警方调查显示,今年8月15日到九月19日之间，这家运输公司向Yellowhead 和170街的垃圾回收站运送了1907车次垃圾。每车次最少超重一吨，最高超载17.9吨。

An Edmonton-based trucking coming is facing $3 million dollars worth of fines under the Traffic Safety Act for allegedly operating overweight vehicles on city roads.
' D- {. F3 l! y  T6 CA police investigation revealed that between August 15 and September 19, the unnamed company made 1,907 trips to the waste management facility located on Yellowhead Trail and 170 Street.
/ Y+ N; l3 {( J+ GPolice say the trucks were transporting loads that were overweight by a least one tonne each visit. One truck was recorded as being 17.9 tonnes overweight.
' u' V# g% o: @7 e3 ?"The company is facing a fine of just over $3 million dollars," said EPS Const. Dave Beattie. "It's a big fine, I'll give you that, but for the police it's not about the value of the fine, it's about keeping these roads safe."
5 ?! d+ Z3 h& J2 G" `Beattie explains that with overweight vehicles, braking can be a problem.
"The last thing I'm sure you, and any of us want, is to be in front of a vehicle that is basically 17 tonnes over what it's allowed to be on the road when you stop at a red light."
Beattie added that roadways can be destroyed by overweight vehicles since they cause cracks and potholes.
The company is due in court on Thursday, December 3.
