　　A hundred leagues locked in ice,

　　A thousand leagues of whirling snow.

　　Both sides of the Great Wall

　　One single white immensity.

　　The Yellow River"s swift current

, h. s; ]; l8 x* l5 j　　Is stilled from end to end.

( Z% f# p5 D: J" b　　The mountains dance like silver snakes

1 r' h& K" ]/ r& ]　　And the highlands* charge like wax-hued elephants,

　　On a fine day, the land,

　　Clad in white, adorned in red,

0 L: H- h  g2 z: m* G　　Grows more enchanting.

/ S; |) _! d/ h) L/ @, Z! {　　This land so rich in beauty

　　Has made countless heroes bow in homage.

2 \  ~! D: d& B　　But alas! Chin Shih-huang and Han Wu-ti

　　Were lacking in literary grace,

　　And Tang Tai-tsung and Sung Tai-tsu

4 k! d0 `' G3 N6 E# H' E　　Had little poetry in their souls;
- Z% o$ N& X' e0 T9 w　　And Genghis Khan,

　　Proud Son of Heaven for a day,

/ {' X* m) P) a. r" c( j# j　　Knew only shooting eagles, bow outstretched

　　For truly great men

　　江山如此多妖 引无数英雄竞折腰 惜秦皇汉武 略输文采
