The Alberta Tories continue to slide, while the NDP surges and the Wildrose maintains the lead, according to the latest election poll released Tuesday morning.; ^4 ^: m7 A& v" S [
3 I+ e; _+ P$ D5 ^4 _" b6 pThe NDP is dominating Edmonton at 51%, according to the survey, and is in a three-way race in Calgary.# t7 N M v. {. T: O
; Q% u' y" v) a4 j+ zThe telephone poll of 3,121 Albertans conducted Monday showed that compared to a week earlier:& h/ c3 O- b4 r5 [; l+ @
! y' X* T& i1 h3 T+ u9 {Wildrose is flat with 24% support& R6 I& Q1 E6 i+ t: C7 w
NDP increased to 23% support, up 3%5 a5 x0 `! z1 p. c" n

Liberal support is down a point, to 8%

Maggi said there is still time for the Tories to swing momentum as, with nearly three weeks before the May 5 vote, “more and more people will be paying attention.”: F W: h! x3 h& S: a
$ @' B2 s, R- T; E“The window of opportunity for that correction is closing quickly,” Maggi noted.

He said the election could turn into a two-way race between the NDP and Wildrose, leaving the possibility Tories shift votes to the Wildrose, or vice versa, to stifle NDP momentum.& u7 q( H# u8 Y

The NDP showed a whopping 51% support in Edmonton, to the Tory’s 21% and and Wildrose 10%.
