On March 26, 2015, the Government of Alberta announced an increase in the liquor- } _# z( \( l$ m
mark-up rates. The new rates will be effective as of March 27, 2015.2 }! i& B( c" @. F* o& v

The increase is a 22-cent per litre increase for most products. The exceptions are4 p3 I! w$ @! w6 `- G7 E# m: O7 m
products from small breweries, and products from cottage wineries that sell at farmers’
3 j: M$ y# n/ r* ^* i' U+ H7 Rgates/markets, with no increase. Mid-sized breweries have an increase of 11 cents per7 ^ A5 K) M9 {) J4 Y ]

· Beer: 90 cents per dozen; approximately 8 cents per 341ml bottle or 355ml can.4 `5 w5 A9 ^ K
· Spirits: Approximately 16 cents per 750ml bottle.3 E- o" G8 Y2 m/ ?3 K
· Wine: Approximately 16 cents per 750ml bottle.
