The dealer is not responsible to transfer the lease, you are responsible for the entire term. That is why you see some leaseholder ask for the new lease transferee to take over the remaining term, for some discount, or lump sum payment as a cashback.
Hmm, good question, seen a lot of Chinese dealers at Toyota, Mazda, Audi and Lexus dealers, not knowing anyone working in GM or Ford dealers. Just call and ask... there might be some.
