Edmonton home builders say they are working non-stop to meet a demand they haven’t seen since the boom of 2005.! F3 Q7 `& P$ c: A. |/ @
# p+ e8 i) R- p9 i: f9 U) ^Builders started construction on 468 new single detached homes last month, a 34 per cent increase from August 2013.

“Right now we're running flat out, we’re building as much as we can,” said Rob Busby, construction manager for Landmark Homes.& F2 C- e& u% S
) r4 V( j9 Z4 AThe increased demand is due to strong job and population growth, according to Christina Butchart, senior analyst with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.# c. g* K7 O& h. |5 q
