An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned. CBC's Nelly Gonzalez reports.

An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned.! i# ?5 K% s1 H* J1 {( o" x
- _: F0 c$ n% n9 U. SAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

% W& w% s0 x6 P+ j8 D' eShe lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.1 t. g" O! s( e0 P( _

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.* X, e2 \" Q$ ^

Search efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.
