Position Title: Community Development Worker
Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week
6 P% I  G6 a9 H: mKey Responsibilities
-community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
; B% W* K5 D, L3 H, k7 r-workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
-fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
3 G% g: N2 v: J( Z: _-develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.
* p. @& Q6 q! C& W' j6 l- n-participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
-demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
$ s- ]& ^2 l0 y1 _# W* S-write quarterly and final reports for ISP
, `, _7 S  Z3 ^2 v$ ^-assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

5 Z, O2 i8 D& J, n* n$ a: a) c* s' I% k-work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
-report to ISP team leader

Qualifications
-degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
9 B3 {' w  u( D# m; k-good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-experience in community work and immigrant services
