买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
5 q: e8 e: c% Q1 n•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
( O- R6 O* W* q1 E•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).+ j6 a* k0 @' {( M) T
So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

A qualifying home must be registered in your and/or your spouse's or common-law partner's name in accordance with the applicable land registration system, and must be located in Canada. It includes existing homes and homes under construction.7 I. _$ L% \* Q! r* I" w

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.
