Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales' b7 b+ T% f4 X& n% {# I' D& ^1 P1 q1 V

2 T; k- L. W4 _6 p9 kKey Responsibilities:
& o" p* i! _ a( {
• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

5 @0 s( d+ v6 _ y* T% W: X, i; z• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

7 w" h* J8 P' s; I8 s! U" o* i• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.5 Z' _# Y% p! b4 U2 L6 y; o

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

( Y7 E& `7 a* E# L2 N5 p• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

3 P& O9 q& I! B, K7 a• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

- ]3 e# t5 [( t, Q9 @, d• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.
1 W# b; W; K( I8 a- s2 f9 ~/ G
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
9 Y, F8 Y$ h; X" I' s
• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

; p' L; e4 A8 _! A8 c$ i• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.: |1 B% Y! U$ M& Y7 Z% s) P

• Travel within the assigned region.
