Fish确实是可数名词,又是不可数名词。更特殊的是它的复数形式并非我们认为的那样。: C3 E \. k( ]6 v6 n, _" o
Fish作为食物原料来讲的时候,是不可数名词。我们i说I ate an apple 但是不说 I ate a fish(不知道在猫的语言里是不是这样讲), 9 T# [* I- A2 ^2 v7 i5 `说I like seafood and I can eat a whole fish for dinner.还差不多, 通常就说 fish。这时候就是不可数的。1 x5 ?% Z( p* E
我们去钓鱼的时候,fish就是可数的了,但是记住,你钓了几条?one fish, two fish,都是fish,而不是 two fishes。 ! U6 E) K; x t5 z难道fish的复数就是fish本身吗。也是也不是。同一种Fish的复数就是fish,fishes是用在不同种类的fish时候 1 J8 Y* n v) G+ d

We use fishes when talking about different types of fish. For example, I caught five fish today and they were different fishes. 9 z+ U2 l$ E1 C- I( j! ~* L3 `

Fish is uncountable when we talk about the meat of fish. For instance, I want to have fish for supper.
