Job Description:

) d" @" W( \6 |7 ?& Q9 H•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.
" g4 H$ n; R/ I•        Oversee hotel security requirements. ' J( V9 f5 d2 z& a$ r8 I4 Y5 a
•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.# _  e% z% B/ Q3 D
•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation.
! [- _8 c" O7 |: Q; l$ m•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
) X2 s5 J5 M/ G. v- Z  x( M•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.* U" n+ ^- l) o" }( r
•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.0 v# T* ?' {; u  A+ Z
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.  V5 i5 X) T  e
•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff.
/ {# C( y% o$ ]; ~•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term.
: _! g( g/ k6 e; M. [/ W' a•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed. . `8 R% `7 y% b2 M7 X
•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service.
: ^8 J+ r( f5 |8 X2 B4 e•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.0 @# I: |" v; X9 ?
•        Attend Cluster meetings. 5 p& M( B* F; M) j1 g3 C
•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.
% c1 Z  m1 [# H4 X$ E: ?•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department
% T& V# g& E! T+ y•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies/ Z  C; F* w& u: ]* R
•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center
- O4 g" ^+ B* B: W) f. K4 k•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float
, w4 m* K& r: ~% @8 d# u( p1 W7 P•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager

Requirements:) M  Z' q8 M# V
•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property
9 ?( N$ I; S; P( }3 V) L• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;' c3 U  P5 t0 n/ j
• Ability to lead and develop;
, P. E% @2 _, }! l• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;
/ R% i, l8 H* s1 Y9 C3 u3 M: u" x" p9 N• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;( D0 o% L. \* Z0 D0 h- y. L
• Ability to work within deadlines;8 m, j* ^1 @# x$ {/ i3 o6 f! v
• High level of creativity and innovation;2 W* }+ T. i+ D" R: e5 j0 V* F
• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;! l6 |% F3 l1 x! k8 F; j/ K8 D
• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
