) x: s7 p6 G. {' ~4 YPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person+ r' p% g% L1 m" h
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
" r0 q( T q' \/ D• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
- f4 a* r4 e; x, ?" L3 j• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
5 t3 q' C# _% Y$ l+ \/ g• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents, v. w( y* v3 a7 C( e$ ^0 ^
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
, I. [% x2 e$ M8 c2 e! N: L7 @• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events; U" a8 v6 D3 A" U. ~, f+ Y
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events, k# F3 x" O4 i M7 J- x$ \* ~# l
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean' q3 S5 @9 t( \
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

( A& p) Z0 f, x2 s, CKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:* M) R' }) }. T, J/ [4 E
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
% b0 t8 S: U+ a' c• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
- u( C/ d# d: j- R* o2 C" X, Z• Good English writing and oral communication skills' w5 U5 Z3 H8 } E0 I
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients) W& {, [4 t. t! c9 e
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:
3 J* C" i* C$ r, [; q! A/ @, H3 _• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ( @7 W0 i& [% H$ ?7 l- Z) J
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
" {+ a( |' A: m k4 Y• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ N* y1 L7 Q5 d" g/ X" h
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
