- submit information for community news

- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
+ m4 m% L0 N0 b( @ \- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties/ t2 S* _4 ?4 N* f0 k
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
7 }+ C( U9 Z* ^4 N8 R3 A- provide volunteers for various programs # m6 M: w8 k E- o Y- D
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
' N+ b( h: {: m7 S/ G8 H- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation7 u* f4 {2 l3 u* L6 O
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
2 D) d* A: Y" p* Q+ W- {+ |* C d- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
+ j$ P* @* h* {, V* T- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
. T2 I& G& Y* j& I+ c- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required), X; y% A# b/ m f( Y, F
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
+ t' ]3 t+ ? v4 L* u6 Z1 y- development and distribution of a volunteer manual ! ~" q( F; U6 ]2 O$ x$ H' l
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

, z+ ]6 F$ t2 Z3 T* O- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
{4 ^( _; |) }6 \* d- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
4 T, a3 V5 ~- F& d( F- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services8 [7 ?# K& j+ M/ O8 v
- leadership skills
& L) U( g8 x4 Q! \- management and supervision skills9 |- `$ g+ W% W8 ^6 ]2 E# H
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
