Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person# d* ^! ?) Q. A6 \) Z# e
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
1 R1 |' \3 x; v4 m• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
* X" Y. ^) [1 a3 m3 \. K• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter' l# h5 v* p: K9 b
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
, m- k- f! H/ W. y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
% L6 I! d T1 ?: u O7 h• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events; |# O8 {/ g9 f* L7 ~
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

, t( i- U g( L3 K7 B+ m& Y b2 V• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person6 X y7 c* z5 E3 K, y* {
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
- j7 {6 d4 k) R E7 V5 {• Good English writing and oral communication skills
) W0 o. v- H u V• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
\# ~( B$ z1 A0 y• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook( b4 ?' j, m1 j: ?: u
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:8 v. e3 v3 H& t' d }. d2 \1 q }7 c
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
! c6 J: B' \& j• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment7 C! |. V, Q2 }8 l1 C* K* t2 j
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
) Y' \, u5 [7 d5 e6 u5 p- R• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
