' s7 W& K. \2 u) y-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new

-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
. l+ I9 K; j* Y5 x8 N1 h-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
, h; X% V9 i) Y6 n-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
) R( O! i2 y1 I; W' ^4 g& I* Z-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
4 A  W  L- J/ r( Z, }% y$ C1 w-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
+ e- ]+ N) C+ l-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
0 H1 ]. X4 y: p/ `6 u; A7 J1 c-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
1 q) `( z4 a& {- @) w-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and

A. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

5 ]: C2 n1 f/ Q* G  o: h(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

* q, a6 z5 V/ b& T' r9 o(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.
+ Q$ M) ~! h2 C  `! m& C' h
0 y# p' [; Y! b0 H* l(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Infragistics controls
- X& I" {+ X2 P% U- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET

- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib

: S  ~  O  y/ S(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
, ^7 o2 b4 p  z5 [1 Y& R- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
