Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
! b. }3 x- J+ W: m- I& @Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
5 J" S/ {+ O1 {3 {4 N  n# l. Z* \•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
, H6 i" t( B- _2 @o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
" g5 ~8 J6 W+ p% M( a•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
% q+ \9 }* t+ }- Q: Ko        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
2 E0 a8 V; h7 l6 Qo        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

. Y1 ?8 Z7 p# u6 q* p6 W7 io        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

. c6 J. Q3 Z; I•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
7 Y' r. l2 U7 p- I; O  k5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
' i6 @) m4 S) \  N" A•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
2 H& N: K* D1 _* d8 H•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
. O- W! @; ?, ?% d$ }: y2 ~! w•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
