Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker1 ]# A/ h; K9 G1 Z
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
; Z2 m' Y0 p7 T• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person2 q8 y' {# @& D; i" K1 A" r& P4 z, o
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST, x4 |9 b* [6 Q. o" G0 L2 z
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately& B3 y+ W5 R3 A, f3 {3 C# F
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 q4 q" L- q( ^( p6 q" E• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
7 w+ T( l+ R' y% F+ r Q- W+ A, c6 g• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# E z7 k4 |2 W9 f
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 S/ O6 g8 Y! f6 e" |% v
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
5 J! e$ [- {. ]; N5 F3 m1 o• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events+ \) \/ p0 S4 y5 {+ I' ?5 k* V
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
% S) `7 \6 X! ~, H• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters; c" Q7 }: W0 u% E1 V8 o/ o
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
" K. O6 M" g' F$ M( T9 f• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
0 ~' }$ t9 {, m6 v• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( S' M3 W9 u/ G8 k) Z8 ]
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
+ F6 k) l( ^. m3 z" Y5 ~• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients: a& I7 l- x8 D0 w! {$ v. L& I. V
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook) J- `" b: g' r6 W5 Z9 W# T
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:% Z1 `8 P& {$ W' K! ~2 X. Q
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ' N/ P& U' V- L+ C5 `8 W2 Z8 \0 @
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: H9 {0 Q5 q: r. ]7 ^• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism2 n3 f0 B0 B7 s$ I- k7 L4 O- j4 t
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision* P O( N6 O5 g
