Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
9 p. ^* g9 m3 m2 P• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST9 M9 m# q9 k4 {, W5 d0 J
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately5 T. {* U6 P% l
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
% P0 C. U; |- d7 R( H9 B6 K8 F• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings, s& I- U- E9 e% h! H0 T
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
0 n$ T+ U& E, S X4 p; j4 G• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters+ H- K& n5 f: ]0 j$ L. c, U+ S% }
• Maintain front counter service files9 Z( B7 h% C5 F9 I8 A$ g! i" V3 o
• Perform general office duties as assigned

1 \& q# f! @$ Q! I: h3 _) J8 zKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
3 {4 ?2 R7 R, n• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
* P7 N0 N# a' l$ A) h• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( J8 A( Z% I6 S2 ]
• Good English writing and oral communication skills4 u. s$ t3 i& c5 j t$ @( M
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
8 w7 l3 l3 r0 W& b8 y5 b$ n5 W• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook, y6 R4 e- P8 o+ G. x/ I3 L/ n2 J
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
$ q1 n6 n; ?% f4 K• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment1 c# {' |7 o* E% h2 o) S
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism! @. s8 A9 J/ Y, ]2 B! G/ \. X
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
