Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. , Z& f+ a5 T) f$ l* k* q R/ |

Key Responsibilities:# E" \( B) S+ _1 I' {# J" @
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person( [+ J2 l5 {7 D, ` B6 B
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
. ]2 U4 \1 w0 H- F% I' @• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
. W/ s6 y; Y% Z4 F" E4 A• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
+ Z8 [" Y( X, j# \8 m' q" d• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
9 P& T7 b' B: V0 d1 r$ ]; z+ x• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
" Q, N& N" w6 I2 R6 n• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
, F: M1 {1 A5 ~1 ~% G5 d• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
" Y9 ]; V. g$ l, i$ |3 S• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

; @, f1 ]; I; x) t+ C• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:; N! F0 @; O# w( _/ m8 Q
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
" [, T* B* f2 K( m6 N$ v8 I• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset p. ^% b/ n. y* g% _; v
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
) E/ u" Z M- f% A, k5 R4 s• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
: r6 ~9 z% e% M, ?! k0 Y* }• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
& u; w9 \) e% e. W/ _" f3 q0 }• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment) }) N2 e- R' B M
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism4 S# z3 t4 h" p
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
