Morton and Orman endorse Gary Mar for PC leader

EDMONTON — Conservative leadership candidate Gary Mar has received endorsements from defeated rivals Ted Morton and Rick Orman.

Mar made the announcement at a press conference in Calgary on Monday afternoon.

“I am humbled and honoured to have the support of Ted and Rick. They have the respect of Albertans, the insight and experience to make a real difference, and they both ran exceptional campaigns,” Mar said in a news release.

“Ted and Rick bring their commitment to strong fiscal policy and clear change in how government can work better. The government needs their voices as we manage the fiscal challenges facing Alberta.

“I also need their contributions going forward and their assistance in working on national and international issues critical to Alberta.”

有哪位高人可以解释一下肖辉肖议员为什么要这么做？他原本支持Ted Morton，现在Morton支持马健威了，他就转而支持Redford。为什么？

还是华人从政的少，避嫌，也成利益考量中的重要因素了

老杨头说得没错，等华人从政越来越多，代表不同利益群体的人越多，是否华裔面孔，无论对大的主流社区，还是对小的华裔社区，才最终不会成为一个重要因素了。

昨天议会开门，Jack layton的华裔遗孀olivia chow是新闻的焦点，大家关心的，不是她的族裔，而是她的坚强，信仰，智慧这些人类美好的共性。

回到投票上
咱们不是救世主，投票的选择，是使自己利益的最大化，而不是那个候选人的评价低，我就去投谁，来维护所谓的“社会公正”

咱们也不是完美主义者，投票的选择，是选择缺点少的，优点多的，不是说，别的不了解，俺了解你有点小缺点，俺就不选了。

普通话移民协会的主持人在支持马的网络新闻发布会上，提出了“理性民族主义”的说法，也承认马健威的华裔背景的确是咱支持的原因之一，非常认同。

觉得这是最符合我个人，作为普通华裔一员，利益诉求的考虑

首先，我们必须承认，马健威的华裔背景的确是EMIS支持的原因之一。但这绝不是一种狭隘的民族主义。之前我们内部成员也讨论过这个问题，我们更愿意把我们的这次支持行动，定义为一种理性的民族主义。" x! V& A4 S' @3 ]) C% U$ N

最后已经没有了政治原则，或者说原则变成了“只要不是华人，只要不是Mar“。
每个人都有自己选择的权利，这可以理解。不过人家说了，当选不是靠的华人，将来也不靠华人。所以明年选举请不要打华人牌。
