9 v/ Z5 k" o. cYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

Payroll:( ]7 S- s6 z9 G. M4 k* v% J2 \3 \
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
3 d% w; F) A) B7 F D# o2 s& m• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll% ^) l& g- d' ]3 w+ B" X, ^ u
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
5 W1 c7 w9 W* K/ k. @0 J5 |• Input benefit deductions into payroll6 P( q7 k# W% N. c% C0 L
. p! q3 l$ v p/ @0 b& O+ w
Reporting duties:
; L* v1 O% N C* M) |( Q; u• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
; e3 @' Z* z" N6 E! t• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website# |+ A; \4 f, M" r7 c9 x
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
$ L, B- V8 A# A3 x0 @5 E" C• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority* V7 ?. U" L* Q, X: V
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

Compliance:
. [! E5 S% Z! g% q• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
% E" [; l9 Z+ c" e& T• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.; R3 X% Q& s! |7 G* i" B$ ^
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies, \1 c( R' W" k7 \, u
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

' G2 L& _# y: G: M0 sAccounts Receivable:
; O- B; N: J% k, e& P) l• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit: X2 s" t1 K9 I2 v: x C
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
' v; a3 C8 Z5 ~" u" {• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
3 T, R% r6 X- Y4 x) z, b• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing* W! O6 l& r8 ?, U3 O6 ?5 X3 N
q6 e, X; j9 f/ j( D* uQualifications:2 k$ t" \" T3 ^( n5 H; x: F7 d. U

• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
8 D# {' b% g: ~! d• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
& n3 M- W; N" D9 ?3 D p' c• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
% K8 m# E- P. y, k• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office: Z' `! m( _/ I0 z6 N
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
2 `# ]4 X8 n+ t9 k+ _5 G+ z• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
