Position:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)

Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
. P* D2 h! c8 }5 m4 Z# h( O0 h Provide positive modelling to youth
7 g0 m- g# `2 S Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
" _* z' v) H7 S Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
. U. C7 F# p! v. N* S Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
8 [- N& }8 M* N, N, U Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
+ d2 x3 ~7 s9 O+ ?4 n& T* ]+ e! o+ \ Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
2 H8 M4 @4 Q0 i: C" @ Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
7 k% r' z- |* W) J: R9 x Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
9 O) {/ |5 S9 ]7 ?' g: C Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
" ]( \: T  o; s- V& I Able to work independently with minimum supervision
3 e( n' E- F# n# `" f) x Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
( W# W! G5 O  d9 }) \) x+ D Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
