Position:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)

Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

+ B8 y# q" c) O: C5 O8 _3 e1 G' B$ {# ~Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

+ [4 t) t$ `6 z. t Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
  c! Z5 Z6 Z* B' p( K1 h* I$ l Take attendance if available
( a) H$ L1 [& D  D: T Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
: X% @* j. q% f7 }+ ]4 T/ I7 Q Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
8 h+ _: _  y- s* S. t" X Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

7 c1 q) b) }; `7 s' j% H Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
' a3 O2 G$ e6 N Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
9 c; G) s1 g/ \# y3 S( o9 u Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
6 o! [; D) B8 Q' j Able to work independently with minimum supervision
+ x# C9 n% m5 |0 w& C Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
1 F& V2 U$ [7 Z& z Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
