( W5 E' y1 l' P' ]! u7 V* ASEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.
7 N$ p8 ]: r8 c, j; F* k) W7 z# rSEDI is staffed to:
# P- e! s$ ~& O' p0 l• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
9 [5 y3 r' w q3 T• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
+ J% W- p; K, T5 M• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation % J; [7 ^4 o. K! W, x# W/ @0 o" J
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs 3 u; l- r1 w) q$ ]& w8 l/ Q
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits
; ~( G8 ^% W1 n% l5 d, ]• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

# y H. E) U5 ]1 f7 PPrimary Responsibilities and Activities:
0 i1 I, M7 F5 v9 s: P5 Z• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
7 x, }% [+ s3 w9 f; q- W! ^9 J• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) 0 I s8 A# }9 Y, g+ y' u9 ^
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
7 H6 n9 r3 p3 ^8 c5 I+ S• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
/ D- Z9 n0 e3 P# x; A0 w$ z. Y, S• Working with evaluation and management information systems team 9 T' u; r8 p- o
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required , e- L9 h9 l1 \
Other Activities:
! r9 z# c/ T; C/ S6 O• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
# J# K+ _+ t9 R( g( L: G" u3 |• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners & T) u2 c/ S/ D' E7 z# _3 H {) G* c
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
% ~' K( O; k j7 o3 e# ^% _$ D• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
+ g' C4 t2 g6 P, ?& X' t) k2 D• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning
3 C) h6 u7 A3 S" C, Q3 M0 FPrimary Qualifications:
" X$ A3 K6 J, e4 D2 n• Demonstrated group facilitation experience 2 }' x" Q( ^/ w1 ~9 U8 J' j. y
• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
3 t0 V! G, \+ U4 Q7 d* S3 g) L• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
- T: S, ~) E6 d9 f4 l0 Y$ F• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities ( S1 W8 d, h, t& B6 ?2 i
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams 7 G7 t/ M+ C5 j& E# G8 a. C" G
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals
7 ^0 K3 j0 D0 O7 ^; Y• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
+ n; ~# j( ?/ P9 P5 R• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them 4 R: I/ {) ~! H& E4 ^
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc + I( {8 |8 K# A% B) y( f
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education
3 O5 z, A' I0 f• Content / curriculum development experience : v" Q! p* @) L0 ]
• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners & \7 I4 g b( m7 H' L
• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability in French (both written and oral) is an asset " ?/ F o4 F! D
• Policy research skill set is an asset
