Position: Outreach Worker ' @+ u9 n0 V1 s' ]; H

- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information$ p$ b- o3 D% a) j# E
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
, s# |6 R$ Y( d$ o- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
: E% L' j1 a' a( C2 f) B8 j6 e& V5 i- provide support to ISP staff
1 Q+ d8 ?5 n% L5 t$ Q) C/ n0 M! y$ h- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
8 Y( Z( \3 A( a k' N [% ^- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
$ k' c/ K# J, w- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated X/ I# {/ A; l' ^ `5 S7 d7 J
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants) \$ [7 Z' K* N" j6 R3 j
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals' J* D$ }7 t! E
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
, Z3 B/ _4 X6 X- l- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
& |; J2 ^$ W5 V: t* Q* M- [- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
1 _4 ^9 f7 J$ K6 @, H8 a: x2 _- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available$ t1 I! t" g/ P& @6 v% D
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
: @' s' I; V$ K7 v2 X$ Z$ n- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
& }. J, t7 g0 ~6 C4 n1 ]2 R: e- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)# X0 k9 c) u- R$ q+ i) b4 F' @1 N, M
- good interpersonal and people skills
