8 b: j& v, G  Z5 O5 z* e& ?- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
4 A" {) K9 A2 v) K. n5 u3 X- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
% K' @# r! R8 F, B  r-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
* P2 ^& \4 j- V4 Q/ C: T- provide support to ISP staff
. C9 D9 X' h) \1 n, _8 u9 E- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
( \1 f& v, D( N- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
/ \1 Q8 g( V% T  F6 G( ]2 E0 E- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
4 d' y1 E+ g8 Y/ f. H7 A+ \2 S' p- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
2 T/ f+ T5 C/ B5 r# t9 y; _4 n- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
' k4 Y0 U8 D( m3 N' t: G% I9 ]- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

! r8 H9 ?* a! R3 K/ K* QQualifications
* u  U( D- T. `  N1 p2 ^- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
9 I- Q# \4 A1 f" P5 g" f- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
, K* y" d4 u; l0 o  m- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
/ a/ f/ w$ q7 R; {- good interpersonal and people skills
3 y$ P# A: @2 X& b& N- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
