- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
- l1 F; [; u: M4 L, v" j& _% |- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
9 J- X  A  C/ `& T. T- provide support to ISP staff
( s* k. w* r5 ^' {5 i) n  {; \- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
* e+ D+ O* E3 |- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
6 Y! L5 G2 Y1 j2 r! y$ R; N) N- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

& k1 f! I, `. \- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
& S6 E, x6 r# [  d3 Y; k- good interpersonal and people skills
- good organizational and coordination skills
  }9 }2 v+ P( W2 [- valid driver’s license

Other
# x8 y# T0 |% C2 S- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
# j/ @/ ]  g* h( Z3 f3 G1 ]- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
