STATUS:         Permanent, Full Time                REPORTS TO:         Distribution Manager -        

JOB SUMMARY:
Working closely with the distribution and warehouse teams, this position is responsible for load planning and balancing for Southern and Central Alberta

        Balance loads efficiently in order to effectively utilize line haul trailer capacity;
        Load Tendering & Scheduling of Commodity Shipments
        Operational communication with all Transport providers
        Booking of delivery appointments when required
        Make recommendations in order to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs
        Various reporting functions, including cube analysis, carrier performance & compliance, etc.
        Liaison between Route Settlement, Warehouse and Distribution;

        Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
        High School diploma or equivalent;
' Q' T/ G" F9 c% @9 Y        Post secondary education related to business or accounting is an asset;
        Experience working in a Distribution or Warehouse setting;
        Experience in the transportation industry an asset;
: l0 r3 i2 W4 o0 X        Proficient computer skills, including Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel)

        Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
        Strong organizational and analytical skills.
        Dependability and proficiency in current position.
