We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

U* x  _- F3 t% zReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

) o2 U# [3 y' e& e8 v- Gathering and documenting requirements;
( ]7 y' r3 L9 ]' V
- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

0 a  \) e% r2 V, J/ u0 F- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

7 N) @& m+ z+ i. P* c- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

2 y1 e/ e# V" z) n' q( }6 t- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

9 _5 g$ u, y8 K- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

5 U: r0 ~  t* }- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

  G! W' d4 \& q' A- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;
