We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

+ M; {; D3 l& x7 S( h' d5 d% ~! x  W- Gathering and documenting requirements;

7 q) L3 ^4 m: a" Q- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

0 N8 X( j5 s! i* [  P4 r, R& c- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

5 h$ U7 h2 m3 B& F' F- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

& ~! g' f" V7 O" U5 v2 k5 K! s- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

: v, V0 O2 N, h3 j- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;
