"UA" or "U of A"?

When referring to University of Alberta, most Chinese use the abbr. "UA", while local speakers usually say "U of A".

% s. ~! V; ]- d6 s- ]! ^; W* x9 N缩写的目的是方便，词越少，越容易说越好，所以ua比u of a 好。应该大力倡导，大说特说。反而后者u of a的缩写不伦不类，虽然很多人这么说。

actually it is just a convention, and we should keep using whichever is convenience for Chinese, the more we use it , the more popular it will be , and eventually it will become an acceptable one, just likes "Long Time No See"

云吞真是好同学，眼睛不是一般的亮。能从细微处看到问题，不简单。

粗略看了一下，确实很多加拿大大学，都在自己的官方网站上用了 of ， 比方 u of c, u of t, u of s. 但是看美国的大学，没有一个大学这么说的。

0 s- ?3 L' Z' o% C跟中国人100%说UA，因为跟他们说U OF A自己感觉更别扭。跟自己人就用最简单的话说。
