Here in Canada, walls are well over R20. So, even if the exterior walls are hot under sunlight, it won't really affect interior living space.

So, it's best to upgrade your windows, if radiation (i.e. sunlight) is a potential problem. Typically, you can upgrade your windows to triple pane, with sun-stop coatings on both sides.

Ask your builder to give you an exact quote.
You don't have to upgrade all the windows. Only the important ones.

我觉得不会,去年我买的新房装有空气换气系统,有三档,最低一挡是每20分钟就RUN一次,屋里温度夏天也是阴凉阴凉的,很舒服.BUILDER告诉我用最低档每月大概比不用增加$5,不管增加费用是不是这么低,总之我没发现比人家增加多少,而冬天边吃饭边晒太阳很舒服,我用的不是很厚的窗帘,所以有少量阳关可透过来. 其实我觉得每天呆在主卧，客厅和饭厅的时间很多,朝西能一直很明亮,人会感觉很精神,不会因为家里暗而犯困. 当然萝卜白菜各有所爱,以上仅供参考.

% C$ p7 @# k9 e谢谢你的信息，我也正在考虑是不是东西朝向的房子（客厅，饭厅，花园向西，bonus房间向东）会比南北朝向的好，因为可以两边都有阳光进房，唯一担心就是夏天客厅，饭厅房间西晒会热？很想再确认确认，期待你的答复，万分感谢！

哪边向西哪边夏天就很热，所以我觉得如果买东西走向的房子，让车库和BONUS ROOM向西比较好，这样只有一个地方热，晚上不在那儿呆就是了。
