Help: Buying a car with title "leased vehicle"

/ E2 ~: J0 X, ]7 P* g  I am going to buy a car, but when I am going to pay today. I notice that the title on the registration is " leased vehicle". Then I asked the seller and he told me he has paid off the lease, but he has not updated the info with the registry. I have not paid him yet. So I just wonder if
1 y- Z( @* }+ C  \he needs to update the title with the registry first before I buy it?
