Develops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
. B7 n z/ p+ e [! z0 S* i& wGenerates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents2 }$ f. U' \5 e: I
Works with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results6 X2 p: y" x9 F- _8 b- h. ]
Implements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available; @& ~. N |( P9 G* _
Provides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface

B.Sc. in Computing Science with specialization in interface development2 i: K% r# h( ^6 B9 H
Related experience with interface development; interest in terrestrial ecology and global climate change an asset5 D3 {5 H' ?8 i5 _5 h' m' ~
Programming in C++ and Unix, website development and maintenance* l5 i# g9 c' x
