difficult to integrate into the Alberta workforce. Some employers may not

Integrated training offers a blend of occupation-related skills, a work- W Y' a9 \* z
experience and competency-based training, such as applied academics or

• technical English language skills

• first-aid training, and

Canadian workforce.

As of 2003, more than 80% of ETIP graduates over the past six years have
' [6 f) X! B% Z' I3 b$ @' k! n7 Xfound engineering or engineering technologist employment in Alberta.* p. N1 q9 u4 A7 a6 K7 m8 X
In 2004, 46 engineers graduated from the ETIP program. At the time of
. u! {8 O! V" {% Ograduation, almost half had secured employment in the engineering industry,% @* M: J- X. f I( N1 F7 h9 _' D6 F
with over 90% employed at three months post-graduation.9 G- T3 u% V6 q; o: N2 m
