' F: l" n$ ?/ [/ f# V8 @: C/ u/ z  T Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
3 q/ [: @$ n# L Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
! x2 J5 L& j" o- F( a Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
; z  q1 X+ v+ q1 A( u Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

9 N& t# `  m/ K  FQualifications
4 i4 ~: M+ P1 i: @4 I1 a  U Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
2 l2 p' m/ j2 M5 I Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
9 T8 I8 |1 D: n0 r4 F8 \ Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
. s9 @, M# ?+ P" ? Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
