Responsibilities
: T, {+ Z. H1 V- I6 `$ ~+ c4 [. E Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
& [3 T+ f: j4 f- Q" E! D# I- }2 I Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
' ?# t) M  ^* u# m' `( w, u. l Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
* l, A! l' u' }: N Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
8 a" @7 z- R/ k3 G0 i Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
0 I8 k9 r: H1 M- n. V5 ]5 f Social work degree or diploma
  W: U) y0 U8 r8 c Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
5 V: _! q  ~# Z Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
. R8 s- S' s3 K4 o3 G  } Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
