Duties/ b. E. U2 F) X2 ^5 A
Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
% ^7 f% P, e3 ^1 X$ j5 hObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments2 \2 F6 j) O6 G4 P
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
# k% B; z1 [3 @2 lPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead) b( ?! y* x0 g" S2 R
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

( v- P5 R! k8 _# d( G' QValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.

+ ], s1 `- N3 X$ RCurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification+ w5 Y7 `& i% T. M0 B" H
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
