Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
; M" i4 ~: ` n1 w4 ~# PProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
) c' p& L- a0 _0 D5 g( aPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed9 ?! |/ z0 b ?# G/ g/ y4 U

Qualifications
4 c- h, F/ D- L9 U6 p- W' G8 {Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
i+ p( v; `" P z NDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred p# {8 b$ B9 R3 ]) ]
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
* ~% @ I7 v X3 J# k- hKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
% p* s& d- U, K. }+ Z+ @! [Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
